Free grant money - Tips and news


American Orchestras grants -

Congress allotted $144.7 million in total funding for the NEA in FY2008.
FY2008 funding also supports the following:

  • The states - 40% of NEA grant funds.
  • State and regional arts agencies. - Over $50.17 million.
  • Orchestras - benefit from grants at the state and local level
  • Arts on Radio & Television 70000$- Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and New York Philharmonic.
  • Save America's Treasures, a partnership of the NEA, the National Parks Service, and other federal agencies - $1,089,993
  • American Masterpieces.
  • Literature Fellowships in Creative Writing/Translation in FY2008.
  • National initiatives - Big Read, Poetry Out Loud, Shakespeare in American Communities, Great American Voices, NEA Jazz Masters, American Masterpieces, Operation Homecoming, and NEA Arts Journalism Institutes .

Application Deadlines
Artistic Excellence, Part Two - 11/8/08.
Lee Summit Journal announced today (8/2/08) that "groups like Lee's Summit Social Services and Hope House can now apply for the grant money to either spend on programs that go straight to the individuals or to help pay utilities and operational costs in the facilities.".
After the grant application was made, it would take sometimes to determine whether the applicant eligible to get the grant money.
