AAUW Fellowships and Grants Program Information

Being one of the world's largest sources of funding for graduate women, the Educational Foundation provided $4 million in funding more than 250 fellowships, grants, and special awards to outstanding women in the 2007-08 academic year.

  • The AAUW Educational Foundation has a long and distinguished history of advancing educational and professional opportunities for women in the United States and around the globe.

The AAUW Educational Foundation also supports aspiring scholars around the globe, teachers and activists in local communities, women at critical stages of their careers.
Application to the following fellowships and grants will be available online starting from 1/8/08:

  • American Fellowships - to women doctoral candidates seeking funds for postdoctoral research.
  • Career Development Grants - to women who hold a bachelor's degree preparing to advance/change their careers.
  • Community Action Grants - seed money to individual women.
  • International Fellowships - to full-time graduate or postgraduate study or research to women who are not U.S. citizens.
