The grants program of the Friends of the Public Library

There are 3 different kinds of grants availiable through "The grants program of the Friends of the Public Library"

Grants to:
Non-profit and voluntary organizations serving Tompkins County residents for literacy, reading related or skills development programs and projects.

Libraries and reading rooms in and on the periphery of Tompkins County to purchase books, other media, materials, and equipment.

Personal education grants:
Local library staff for conferences and continuing education

• Students enrolled in a graduate degree program in Library Science
• Middle and high school students who volunteer in their school libraries.
